If your Jackson day starts with a drive in from Swan Valley, make Persephone Bakery your first stop. It’s a French-inspired bakery and café a few blocks off the town square, known for scratch-made pastries, excellent coffee, and a breakfast and lunch menu that goes well beyond the usual mountain-town fare. Morning is the move — croissants, quiche, and fresh-baked bread disappear fast, and the espresso is genuinely good. Lunch brings sandwiches on house-made bread and a rotating soup that’s worth asking about. Seating is limited and it’s a popular spot, especially on weekends, so mid-morning arrivals sometimes beat the breakfast rush. It’s a great way to fuel up before a day at Grand Teton or a wander through town, and equally good as a mid-afternoon coffee break if you’re shopping the square. The vibe is warm and a little bit European — a nice contrast to the rustic-lodge feel of most spots in the valley. Grab something to go if you’re headed straight into the park, or linger at a table if the morning’s unhurried. Either way, it’s one of our favorite recommendations for a Jackson town day.
