All Steak has been feeding Cullman since 1934, and it remains the place locals send visitors. It moved into a smart space downtown a few years back, but the menu and the reputation came with it — properly cooked steaks, Southern sides, and a dining room that fills with three generations of the same families on a Sunday. The genuinely famous item is not the steak. It’s the orange rolls: warm, glazed, and served as a starter rather than a dessert, which sounds wrong until you’ve had one. Order them the moment you sit down. Beyond that, the fried chicken and the daily plate specials are reliably excellent, and the portions are Southern-sized. It’s busiest right after church on Sundays and around 6pm most evenings, so book ahead or go a little off-peak. Cullman’s walkable downtown is right outside the door if you want to make an evening of it — and it pairs neatly with a morning at Smith Lake Park on the same trip.
